Last March, the family of Professor Robert Kelly, an East Asian policy expert, unexpectedly became the viral phenomenon. While the analyst was discussing the impeachment of the South Korean president in an interview with the BBC, her four-year-old daughter Marion danced happily in her office followed by eight-month-old brother James. A few seconds later his mother realized the disorder and took them out of the room hastily. But it was already late: in less than a minute and almost instantly the internet had turned them into stars.
Inspired by the comical situation - and the wave of comments, memes, tributes and other reactions that countless Kelly family fans have shed on social networks - Lauren Martin and Jarryd Mandy have created The Adventures of Mina and Jack. This animated series, whose first video can be seen on YouTube, tells the adventures of a precocious young girl named Mina and her brother Jack, two intrepid young men who help their father, an ambassador.
Jarryd Mandy is a Brooklyn couple who, after watching the video more than a hundred times, decides to create a story inspired by Laurent Martin and the technology-driven developer of apps. By the little ones. The idea became a series of animation in just five weeks with the help of the RAXO creative team.
In the first episode of just three minutes, Mina introduces the family shortly before embarking on a trip to North Africa. When the little girl and her brother hear that their father must find a golden thief they decide to solve the case. The duo leaves the hotel, travels on an elephant, leaves propelled by the baby walker and accidentally traps the shard, saving his father. In the words of Mina herself: "Without Jack and without me I would be forsaken." The mother also appears in the chapter: at the beginning of the episode Mina says that she likes yoga and also sneaks into the father's office to get the little ones out.
The project is blessed by Robert Kelly and his family. "I thought I was cute, my wife and I laughed and they made me look stupid," said the teacher, who shared the video via Twitter.
